1. Data requested
Knot currently requests basic identity data from Google through the profile and email scopes: name, email address, account image, verification status, and a unique account identifier, together with authentication tokens required to complete sign-in.
2. Purpose
The information is used to sign you in, create or link an account, prefill a profile, prevent abuse, and secure the session. We do not use Google user data to create an advertising profile, sell it, or track users outside disclosed Knot functions.
3. Permissions not requested
Current Google Sign-In does not request permission to read Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Calendar and does not read email messages, files, or calendar events. Google Maps use for address or delivery features is separate from Google Account data and does not grant Knot access to account content.
4. Storage and protection
We may store the name, email, image, provider identifier, and account link as needed to maintain the account. We apply encrypted connections, permissions, tenant isolation, and security logging. Sensitive Google user data is not stored as free text in visitor analytics.
5. Sharing and Limited Use
We do not sell Google user data. It is disclosed only to infrastructure and authentication providers necessary to operate the feature or where legally required. Knot's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. AI and advertising
We do not use or transfer Google user data to train or improve generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models, or for personalized advertising or retargeting. Visitor AI insights use aggregate counts without names, email addresses, or IP addresses.
7. Control and deletion
You may remove Knot access in Google Account settings at any time and then request deletion of information held by Knot through the Data Deletion page. Revocation does not erase information that must legally be retained; such information is restricted under the policy.
